Well it has been a HELL of a weekend with it just seeming like one falls into the other, but the countdown is on for my itty bitty to be done with another school year! Wow it went so fast, as they all do once you begin to get older. Isn't it funny how things change, because when you are younger it seems like it takes forever for the school year to begin coming back from summer break. Well at least it did for me.
Got to experience something that I've never gotten to before, which is actually seeing birds get the nerve to leave the nest. It was AMAZING! Four baby Robins nesting in a hanging flower pot over the weekend, getting fed by their mother. Now that was amazing because they were so close, so we got to see everything. Then the next day we look and there were only two left, so at some point the other two had gotten the nerve to fly away. So we just watched those two and at some point, they stood up and were walking around the nest. We knew it was about to happen, so we wouldn't take our eyes off of them. Then it happened. They both took off at the same time with one flying to the window and looking at us. We were so excited for them, yet scared that they would head to the street. Mom and Dad looked on and where protecting them the best they could. The flew across the street and of course they followed, and cars were coming and one did tumble underneath a car but was ok. Lord, my heard was racing and I was screaming to be careful like they were mine. Below you will find the pics that I took during that wonderful moment in nature.
