FREEDOM FRIDAY
They used a lot of musicians and downplayed the use of electronics on this one, and it so sounds like music of yesterday which shouldn’t be a novelty but seems to be in music. Because of doing so it gives the tracks a certain vibe and soulfulness that carries throughout the album. They wanted to touch upon the music that was brought in the 70s and 80s, which is exactly what they did and when you bring Niles Rodgers aboard then it just keeps getting funkier. Some tunes are complex in nature, which seems to be the tracks featuring Paul Williams. My fave you ask is “Beyond” which has an end segment where the drummer lays in the cut, while the syns come in and it just rides.

West Virginia gets a bad rep in so many ways, so today I wanted to show you the architecture that is awesome on the East End of Charleston. I took these shots while attending the Annual East End Yard Sale, which spans blocks of individuals selling vintage clothing, antique furniture, food and whatever else you can find. We’ve had people come into town just for this annual event. Maybe you should….
