Numero Dos!

Stephen Schmidt

You talk about knowing some “creatives” that I call FRIENDS, and I recently introduced you to D. Scot Miller author extraordinaire.  Well I’m about to introduce you to another one of my besties!

Stephan Schmidt, production go-to-guy has risen up the ranks of this field the old fashioned way, one job at a time.  He began with a lottery commercial and it rises from there.  He’s done his own film work landing a half hour interview with Iggy Pop & the Stooges in New York, which he was blessed with a longer feature titled, “In The Hands Of The Fans” (out on DVD & Blu-ray, click here to purchase >>).  His most recent work has been a mini documentary on Parliament Funkadelic titled, “Up The Fuzz”, based on an interview with one of the members whom is a West Virginia native from McDowell County Clarence “Fuzzy” Haskins (check it out here >>).

Talk about being all over and going when the call comes in!  This man will go where you ask him do, in order to do what he LOVES.  He’s done production for HGTV, is a regular location shooter for Animal Planet, and in early 2012 did a location shoot in Greenbrier County, West Virginia for the film version of Cormac McCarthy’s “Child of God”, which starred James Franco.

He’s no wallflower by any means, and I’m proud to call him one of my BESTIES!

Love you, Stephen!
